Hair Treatment

The use of lasers for hair removal Has been studied using laser hair removal for a number of years. In this procedure, the laser light is absorbed by the melanin in the hair shaft, and damage to follicular epithelium. Clinical study evaluating the use of a laser diode LightSheer for hair removal.

Centers for laser hair removal on the color swatch Almilanin self, found mainly in the hair shaft with a small amount in the upper third of the follicular epithelium (Fig.)

Almilanin absorbed, especially in the hair. Heat is generated and published in the follicular epithelium surrounding it. A similar principle applies to the laser treatment of vascular lesions, where it transfers heat generated after absorption by hemoglobin in the blood to the cells in the lining of blood vessels.

Hair loss and regrowth

One hundred patients were treated in clinical trials in the diode laser high energy. The study evaluated different combinations of Fluence and pulse width in the eight test sites. The patients were followed in one month, three, six, nine and 12 after the last treatment.

The study showed that high-power laser of diode produces two separate effects: a temporary loss of hair and permanent hair reduction. Temporary hair loss occurs in all patients, for all hair colors. Is defined as a permanent reduction of hair as a significant reduction in the number of hairs station at the site of an organization which is stable for a period of time longer than the hair growth cycle is complete (Figure 3, Table I). Test sites mainly on the back and thighs, where complete.
